The Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West Constituency, Peter Lanchene Toobu, has donated assorted items and cash to the Bahass Mental Home as part of activities to celebrate his 58th birthday.
The donation, which was made on behalf of the MP by the Wa West Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Mathew Vaare, included five 50kg bags of rice, seventeen (17) cartons of soft drinks, one gallon of cooking oil, and an amount of GHS 1,000.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Mathew Vaare said Hon. Toobu was delighted to support the home as part of his birthday celebrations. He noted that the MP remains committed to supporting vulnerable members of society and contributing to the welfare of institutions that provide care for those in need.
Mr. Vaare further emphasized that the donation reflects the MP’s dedication to humanitarian service and his desire to share the joy of his birthday with the less privileged.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Bahass Mental Home, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ilyasu Baba, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Peter Toobu for the generous gesture. He commended the Hon MP for his continuous support to society and his commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people.

Mr. Baba also expressed admiration for Mr. Toobu’s leadership and kindness, describing the donation as timely and impactful. He assured the donor that the items and cash would be used judiciously in supporting the welfare of the residents of the home.
The presentation ended with prayers and well wishes for Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu as he celebrates his 58th birthday.
