The Wa Municipal Education Directorate has presented a citation of honour to Alhaj Dr. Hudu Mogtari in recognition of his immense support as the prime sponsor of the Radio Progress Best Brain Competition (BBC), a quiz programme organized for basic schools within the Wa Municipality.
The Directorate, led by the Deputy Director in charge of Human Resource, Madam Christiana, commended the efforts of Dr. Mogtari and expressed profound appreciation for his continuous support towards education in the Wa Municipality and the Upper West Region at large.
The Directorate noted that the sponsorship of the Radio Progress Best Brain Competition has greatly contributed to promoting academic excellence and healthy intellectual discourse among pupils in basic schools across the municipality.

The citation, presented by Madam Christiana on behalf of the municipal education office, formally acknowledged Hon. Hudu Mogtari’s dedication and commitment to supporting educational development.
“Your willingness and zeal to support the 1st and 2nd editions of the BBC programme are a clear indication of your magnanimity, commitment, dedication, and love to empower many through education,” the citation reads.
It added that the starring example of Dr. Hudu Mogtari not only showed his “generosity and love for humanity, but also [his] commitment to invest in young minds for the future.”
Receiving the citation, Hon. Alhaj Dr. Hudu Mogtari expressed joy and gratitude to the Education Directorate and Radio Progress for the honour. He commended the Directorate and the organizers for what he described as a wonderful initiative that continues to inspire and motivate young learners to excel academically.

Alhaji Mogtari pledged that the Hudu Foundation would continue to support both the Best Brain Competition and the activities of the Education Directorate in order to improve education within the municipality and the region as a whole.
Meanwhile, the Directorate has announced that preparations are far advanced for the next edition of the competition, which is scheduled to commence on 13th June, 2026 and run through to 30th January, 2027.
The presentation ceremony was held at the forecourt of the Wa Municipal Education office with Alhaji Hudu Mogtari in attendance.
Some GES staff present at the ceremony were Mohammed Alhassan, Deputy Director in charge of Planning; Danlard Bonkataa, Languages Coordinator and Coordinator for the Best Brain Competition; Halim Suleman, Deputy Director in charge of Supervision; and Suleman Mujeeb, the Public Relations Officer. Staff of Radio Progress, organisers of the BBC, were also in attendance.
