Former NDC Parliamentary Candidate aspirant for the Wa East Constituency, Prince Razak Tachi, has commissioned a major educational and community development project at Chawuli Fali in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region.
The project construction, which commenced on 4 October 2025, was completed and commissioned on 11 September 2026, providing the community with critical educational infrastructure and other facilities aimed at improving learning and the general wellbeing of residents.
The completed project comprises a six-unit classroom block, a head teacher’s office, a staff common room, a teachers’ bungalow, a mechanized borehole and a mosque.
The six-unit classroom block is expected to provide pupils with a more conducive environment for teaching and learning, while the head teacher’s office will provide the school’s administration with a dedicated space for managing academic and administrative activities.
The staff common room is also expected to provide teachers with a suitable space for professional engagements and rest, while the teachers’ bungalow will help improve accommodation arrangements for teachers posted to the community.
Another key component of the project is the mechanized borehole, which is expected to provide a reliable source of water for the school and surrounding community and help address basic water needs.
In addition to the educational facilities, the project includes a mosque, providing a dedicated place of worship for Muslims within the community and further expanding the social infrastructure available to residents.
As part of the commissioning and handing-over ceremony, Prince Razak Tachi also donated learning materials to pupils of the school.
The educational materials are expected to complement the newly constructed infrastructure by supporting pupils in their academic activities and enhancing the teaching and learning process.
The intervention comes at a time when adequate educational infrastructure remains essential to improving access to quality education, particularly in rural communities where infrastructure and basic amenities can sometimes pose challenges to effective teaching and learning.
The provision of classrooms together with a head teacher’s office, teachers’ accommodation, staff facilities and water supply is expected to create a more complete and conducive environment for both pupils and teachers at Chawuli Fali.
Community members are expected to take ownership of the facilities and work with the relevant authorities to ensure that the classrooms, offices, teachers’ accommodation, borehole and mosque are properly maintained and used for their intended purposes.
The handing over ceremony was graced by a representative of the Ghana Education Service (GES), alongside community members, pupils, teachers and other stakeholders.
