Azumah Resources Ghana Ltd has officially announced a complete change in ownership and management following the successful acquisition of the company by Engineers & Planners Company Limited (E&P).
According to a statement from the Board of Directors, the transition follows the full settlement of a US$100 million deal in which E&P acquired all rights and interests in Azumah’s Black Volta and Sankofa Gold Projects, located in Ghana’s Upper West Region.
The transaction, described as the final phase of an equity transfer process, marks a significant milestone as the company becomes wholly Ghanaian-owned and controlled.
Following the acquisition, Azumah Resources Ghana Ltd has reconstituted its Board of Directors to reflect the new ownership. All former foreign directors have officially resigned, paving the way for a new Ghanaian management team to assume responsibility for the company’s operations and strategic direction.
The new leadership has pledged to work closely with statutory regulators and relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and transparent transition in line with Ghana’s mining laws and regulatory framework.

Under the new management, Azumah Resources Ghana Ltd will focus on local employment, community infrastructure development, and environmental sustainability as central pillars of its growth strategy.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to responsible mining practices and pledged to deliver measurable value to the people of the Upper West Region, the Government and people of Ghana, and its new shareholder, Engineers & Planners Company Limited.
