The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Appeals Committee has dismissed an appeal filed by Kulfuo Dreams, effectively upholding an earlier ruling in favour of Kalibi Sporting Club in a Division One League protest case.
In a decision delivered on Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Appeals Committee, sitting under the chairmanship of Osei Kwadwo Adow (Esq.), ruled that Kulfuo Dreams’ appeal lacked merit after considering submissions from both clubs and the evidence presented.
The committee stated that it had examined the notice of appeal and accompanying documents filed by Kulfuo Dreams, the statement of defence submitted by Kalibi Sporting Club, as well as all other available evidence before arriving at its decision.
“That the appeal of Kulfuo Dreams is hereby dismissed,” the committee ruled, adding that a full written decision would be communicated to the parties in due course.
The ruling brings to a close the appeal arising from a protest lodged by Kalibi Sporting Club over their Division One League fixture against Kulfuo Dreams.
The Upper West Regional Football Association Disciplinary Committee had earlier ruled in favour of Kalibi Sporting Club after finding that Kulfuo Dreams fielded players wearing unregistered jerseys during the match. Although Kulfuo Dreams had won the game 4-2 on the field of play, the Regional FA Disciplinary Committee overturned the result and awarded Kalibi Sporting Club a 3-0 victory in accordance with the competition regulations.
Dissatisfied with that verdict, Kulfuo Dreams appealed to the GFA Appeals Committee, seeking to overturn the Regional FA’s decision. However, the GFA Appeals Committee has now affirmed the earlier ruling by dismissing the appeal.
A detailed written judgment outlining the reasons for the decision is expected to be released by the committee in the coming days.
In a related development, an appeal filed by Wa Sore Nante against Kalibi SC has also been dismissed by the appellate body as it holds no merit.
The decisions from the GFA Appeal Committee mean that Kalibi Sporting Club tops the league table of the Upper West Regional Division II League, qualifying them for next seasons Access Bank Division One League.
